Android Mail Setup (Primary)

To setup your Element 74 email account with Android Email using an IMAP or POP3 setup please follow the following steps!  (Please Note: This process may vary with Android related devices)


Tap on the App Drawer Icon on your Android device.  (Note: This Icon may vary from device to device)


Once inside the App Drawer, navigate to the “Email” App and tap on the icon.


Enter your “Email Address” and “Password” into the boxes, and then tap “Manual Setup” at the bottom of the screen.


For IMAP: Tap “IMAP ACCOUNT” to continue with the setup.


Fill out the information in the boxes accordingly.  Replace “Testsetup@element74.com” with your email address.  After the information is entered, tap on the “Next” button in the bottom right-hand of the screen.


 

For POP3: Tap “POP 3 ACCOUNT” to continue with the setup.


Fill out the information in the boxes accordingly.  Replace “Testsetup@element74.com” with your email address.  After the information is entered, tap on the “Next” button in the bottom right-hand of the screen.


Now we must fill out the boxes with the outgoing server settings.  Please make sure the “Require Sign-In” box is checked.  “Testsetup@element74.com” must be replaced with your email in this one as well.  


(Optional):   This screen will allow you to give your account a name.  This is important because if it does not have a proper name, then it can be flagged as spam and the recipient will not receive the email.      


Congratulations!  Your IMAP/POP3 account has been set up and is ready for use with Android Email!  You can tap back to your home screen and access your email from the icon.
