Outlook 2010 Setup (Primary)

To setup your Element 74 email account in Outlook 2010, using an IMAP or POP3 setup, please follow the following steps!

 

Double Click the Outlook 2010 Icon on your desktop computer.

Click “ File”  in the upper right-hand  corner of the program.

Click “Add account” from the drop down list of accounts  

Click the button “Manually configure server settings or additional server types” and then click next

Click the “Internet Email” button to specify the account type


For IMAP:  Complete all of the boxes with the information as listed in the slide. Replace “Test01@element74.com” with your email address. After the information is entered, click on the “More Settings” button in the bottom right-hand of the screen.

On the popup window, click the tab “Outgoing Server”, and then click the option: “Use same settings as my incoming mail server” button. Next click on the “Advanced” tab.

Now on the “Advanced“ tab, make sure the information in the boxes matches the boxes in the image to the left. Please note the timeout slider is increased to 10 minutes.  Then click “OK”

When you return to the “Add Account” screen, click Next.  The account authentication process will run, and the completed steps will be outlined in the Test Account Settings Box.

Congratulations!  Your IMAP account has been set up and is ready for use with Outlook 2010!


 

For POP3:  Complete all of the boxes with the information as listed in the slide. Replace “Test01@element74.com” with your email address. After the information is entered, click on the “More Settings” button in the bottom right-hand of the screen.
